Improvements That Increase Your Home Value
Summer is a fantastic time to complete those home renovation projects you've been dreaming up! Did you know there are some renovations that can increase your home value? It's true - and some of them don't cost much to implement! If you're interested in increasing your home’s value without breaking the bank, here's a quick list of low-cost renovations to consider.
New Interior Paint:
Adding a fresh coat of paint is really appealing to buyers. Remember to stick to neutral tones with white trim!
Curb Appeal:
Repainting your front door can have a big impact on your buyers when they first pull up to your house. Zillow did a paint analysis and found that homes with charcoal, jet-black, or smokey black painted door sold for $6,271 premium!
Smart Home Technology:
Zillow’s research found that 41% of Gen Z and 41% of Millennials rated smart home technology as very important when they look for a home. Zillow also found that if your listing mentioned smart lights in your home sold 7 days faster.
New Lighting:
Adding new light fixtures can make a room feel bigger and is relatively inexpensive. Lighting is very important to buyers so if you have a few rooms in your home that don't have a lot of natural light, adding a new fixture or two can be just the thing your house needs.
Bathroom updates:
Small details go a long way, especially with bathroom updates. Add a new shower head, recalk/reglaze the tub, and replace the vanity lights.
Are you interested in investing a little more into your home renovations to increase your home value even more? Here are the top ten to make the most on your return:
